Maglev and lubricated bearing pumps, compared
A maglev pump holds its rotor in place with magnetic bearings controlled by electronics, with backup bearings for touchdowns. A lubricated bearing pump runs its rotor on mechanical bearings with a lubricant supply. Both need different repair skills, and we handle both in-house.
Because the electronics are part of the bearing system, many maglev faults live in the controller, the cable or the match between them. That's why we ask for all three.
